Our founding chef and mother, Dorothy Wanki, better known as Mama D is popular in Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties, MD, where she opened the first-ever Mama Dora African Cuisine and charmed the residents with her wonderfully delicious cooking.

Now, the second location of the famous restaurant, operated by Mama D's daughter, Claudia is now open for business in Los Angeles. Our goal is to bring together people of all nationalities to savor and enjoy African cuisine.
